A group of about 10 of us are going to Beaver Mines in the Crowsnest Pass to do some camping and quading. I am deepfrying a Turkey on Sunday.

We'll be off to the Pinery for the last trip of the year. Long range forecast looks good so far.

We're heading down to Niagara Falls. Actually pulling the kids out of school at lunch so we don't get stuck in the Toronto/Niagara rush hour.

It would give us a good excuse to go camping down here!
I don't mind going camping twice to celebrate two Thanksgivings!

The 2nd Monday in October. Here's a review of some of the reasons for this: http://palc.sd40.bc.ca/palc/feature/2006/canadianthanksgiving.htm

In Atlantic Canada, the weather is often really nice during the day, though you may have frost at night. Today was a good fall day, highs in the 70s with sun. Kyle arrives over the weekend. We'll stay up about 60 overnight those days.

BTW I've forgotten the range of wild turkeys. Are there any in NC?

& I, I took the road less travelled by.

Got the new winch on truck today, and new quad is waiting for me in Prince George, so I am spending Thanksgiving in the Bush looking for a Swamp Donkey. No turkey dinner but a can of stew will do.
