the problem with Cs is that if you want a real bed, don't want to climb up which doesn't suit old folks like me very well and they sleep E/W, and don't want one in a corner, they are big.

How about the Itasca Navion IQ for a small C. They even have one with a rear queen slideout. Tows a small car too.

I will be 60 in Dec and weigh less than 90 pounds. I pull a 16' Casita Spirit Deluxe with a Jeep Liberty 2wd. I have no problems handling set-up and take-down. I also like having the bath with shower head. I have not used the shower as I camp at parks with shower facilities. I know the 17' is a little taller inside than the 16'. The Liberty may give them better bed option as you can make two twins in the back, a double in the back or a "king" in the back. They are affordable and you can also buy used. I bought used as I could pay cash and have had no problems at all.

There are many options out there for small trailers (twenty feet and under) that can be towed by an F150. We have towed our Oliver behind our Volvo, our Silverado, and now a half-ton Dodge pickup. The molded fiberglass trailers are very easy to tow, and most of them have a fairly aerodynamic shape as well. My best friend has a Casita. My aunt and uncle enjoyed their Scamp for fifteen years of retirement fun. Oliver, Scamp and Casita have a narrower footprint which pretty much tracks with the truck, especially nice for people not used to towing.(Bigfoot is wider, but offers more interior space once you're camped.) Set up is easier in an Oliver (electric jacks all around, etc.), but they are more expensive. Many nights, we don't even bother to unhook...only if we want to go explore without the trailer. At least, with a trailer, the choice is yours. Headroom in our Oliver (and my friend's Casita) accomodates us fine... at least six one. We leave our bed made up all the time. My friend's Casita has twin beds. Both hers and ours have a little side dinette that accomodates two nicely, kitchen, marine bath, etc. I spent three months in my parents' 26 foot Class C one summer, and yes, it's quite possible, but not a lot of fun to drive in city traffic or park. Towing a small trailer is easier, in my opinion, because I can leave it at the campground.

I'll suggest the Jayco JayFeather Sport 218. I love the floorplan and I think it would be perfect for two people!

KZ makes a small 5th wheel that can be pulled by a F-150. I have been in one and they are really nice and good for two people. The model I am talking about is the S235RK.

We have the Jayco 218 and agree it's a good layout for two people. The person sleeping on the outside (front) of the bed will have to crawl over / around the person sleeping on the inside. Pictures at our link below.

Aliner.com
It is really easy to tow, sets up in a minute, then another 2 minutes to put down the jacks. While it does not have a shower, you did not state all the things that your parents want in a RV. This one is compact enough to store at home, without the neighbors looking over the fence at it and compaining!
Fred.
The new "EASE" model has an interior bathroom, which is nice for those that need to go during the night. The advantage of the Aliner (or Chalet) is they are all hardside, fold down out of the airstream, and will set-up really fast. The down side is if you have more than two people on a regular basis, space is a consideration. Aliners or Chalets do not have the room of a canvas pop-up or non-folding TT of the same towing length.

juschuman wrote: My parents are retired and soon would like to own some sort of RV. A Class C and A are too big, plus they want to have a car when they travel. A TC is too much for them to deal with (loading, climbing up into the cabover).
So I have suggested a small TT.
Can you all give me some reliable makes and models? Looking for something under 20' that can be towed with a F150.
It needs to be very user friendly.
Thanks for your input.... back to the TC forum!
Just looked at the V-19FK Viewfinder from Cruiser RV. V-E-R-Y nice and user friendly. Elec awning, double steps (easy to get in & out).
Only thing is very little outside storage. Great floor plan, lots of room for two, F150 towable. Appears to be made like the Double Tree 5ers(they own Cruiser), same color sceme. I have the Fun Finder 189FBS and am satisfied so far. Dealer was asking $24,500.00, a little
high IMOP, but it's new to the market.
