I doubt AAA would stop the tow truck and unhook you in the middle of nowhere just because the odometer reached 100 miles. More than likely, they would continue the tow to the service center and charge you for the additional mileage beyond the 100 they allow.

I looked at AAA years ago but because they had limitations with regard to towing motorcycles and the limit of 100 miles towing I didn't buy their program. Good Sam Road Service provides unlimited towing milage so I went with them.

I would suggest that you review your policy.

From the Good Sam ERS web page:

Unlimited Distance Towing to the Nearest Service Professional
When you call Good Sam ERS for service, we pay 100% of the towing fees for the delivery of your vehicle to the nearest independent professional service center, whether that distance is 10 miles or 1000 miles!

So the mileage they are willing to tow is not

YOUR RIGHT! You just can't please everyone

Aha, but GS ERS will not tow a trailer that you are pulling behind a motorcycle. They will not tow any boat or utility trailer. For that you need KOA/Allstate or maybe Coachnet.

I don't know what other experiences are with Good Sam ERS But we broke down on a Friday going up a mountain in No. Georgia. Transmission blew. They sent 2 trucks
within one hour. One towed the fifth wheel to the state park. The other towed us to the transmission repair shop of our choice. The transmission place (Arne's in Blairsville, GA) examined the 'mess' and ordered us a Jasper tranny, installed it about noon on Monday and we were on our way.
KUDOS to Good Sam ERS and Arne's !

Sorry for your troubles. To answer your original question, many companies offer towing road side assistance that sort of thing. Best answer I can give is do not put yourself in a position of having a break down. Most breakdowns can be prevented with proper routine maintance. That way, if something is going bad it can be cought and fixed before a disaster occurs miles from home.
You did not give many specifics, so can I ask, How old and how many miles on the truck? How big a trailer are you pulling? and lastly what is your actual true camping weight for the combination?
