Most all of our tools so we can do about anything. The MH seems to be a good place to keep the tools handy for use around the place.

Bumpy - you forgot the bubble gum. Bubble gums a lot better than duct tape - try sealing up a leaking fuel line with duct tape Now a wad of bubble gum and some bailing wire (or duct tape) to hold it in place and you're in business.

Get ride of it all, then purchase what you need as time goes by. That is what I have done. You can never tell what you will need. One thing is for sure you will need things that you never thought of, and thing that you have thought you will need will never be used.

I have a full set of wrenches, both standard and metric, up to 1" along with ratchet wrenches. Also a full set of sockets both 1/4 & 3/8 dr along wit various screwdrivers. These all fit snuggly in a 3 drawer box that is in the basement. Another drawer holds an assortment of pliars. Another plastic box holds an assortment of hammers and misc. tools. An assortment of adjusable wrenches hang on hooks on a basement wall. An 18V DeWalt drill in its own case with an assortment of bits and drivers. A handsaw and tree saw compliment all this. It's really amazing how little room this takes up and I'm pretty much prepared for any emergency. Also have an assortment of pipe wrenches in the truch tool box. If you see me on the road and you need a tool I probably will be able to accomodate along with a cold one while we ponder your situation.

Thanks for all your great answers. It's probably true I'll never have the right thing when I need it, but at least I can have all the basic necessities. I don't think I'll ever get my boyfriend to part with most of his tools but this was a good way to narrow the list down. I also wanted to show him people really camp/live full time without the 800lb air compressor ,400lb welder and the table saw.

well, I can get by without the air compressor, and welder, but a table saw is mandatory. I stayed at the Lake Whitney RV Resort once and the fella next to me did have a table saw in his "basement" compartment.

Hey some of us would be more comfortable without our pants than without our tools.
