I am now going fulltime with this RV stuff and am scared silly.
I am a Canadian and I need to know what other Canadians are doing for a mailing address. It seems I need to have something firm like a street address and number but I could be wrong on that.
What are other Canadians doing for a mailing address??
And what about a doctor?
Heavens there are lots of things to think about now. Things don't seem to be as nice now that I have become full time... At least not like I had dreamed..
Any thoughts guys??

Canada Post will forward your mail, this may be a problem if you are moving around a lot but maybe you have a relative that could receive your mail. We are not full timers but when we go south for the winter we either pay our bills online or have direct payments.
Whatever you do don't sweat it or worry about it everything is doable whether you are on the road or in a stick house.
Good luck eh.

Just about every town/city or community has some kind of 'mail box' service that you can use for a small fee. . We use a local photo copy company that has mail boxes and they forward our mail to Florida in the winter and it gives us a street address. Also when we are travelling we just use local 'walk in' clinics for a doctor.

We also use a 'mail box service'. We arrange for Canada Post to forward our mail to the service. Then, periodically we have the service forward our mail to our current location.

Sorry, we're not full-timers so don't know about the mail, but just wondering . . .

How long did you plan before you decided to become full-timers? What types of things are giving you negative thoughts now? Sounds like you're having some regrets in hindsight, but I think I would be nervous too at the beginning. It seems to me though, that most full-timers get over this feeling and immensely enjoy it. If it hasn't been all that long, hang in there for a bit. I think you may feel a whole lot different after awhile. Full-timing sounds wonderful and we've thought about it ourselves down-the-road. I'm sure there's some negatives, but don't forget the positives! Good Luck!

Sure wish you had posted some questions before you went fulltiming. Generally it is advisable to get the mail set up AT LEAST 3 months before you take the leap. This gives you time to make sure everything is working correctly.
Post your questions and see if some tips from those already out here won't help alleviate that worry.

We use MailBoxes ETC. for our mail and they give you a street address. We use the street address for our Drivers Licence, vehicle registration, etc. They will forward your mail to you. We did set this up about 2 weeks before we actually started our full time life, we paid a fee to Canada Post to have our mail forwarded for 6 months to our MailBoxes ETC. address just to make sure we recieved all our mail and had all the addresses changed for any mail we actually wanted to keep recieving. We paid all our bills online, some are on auto withdrawl and had set up paperless with all the mail we could, credit csrds, bank statements, etc. long before we ever thought of going fulltime.
We use our same Doctor when in Alberta and make sure we have good health care coverage when travelling to the States. So far we have been very blessed and have not had occasion to access any medical assistance while travelling.
Hope this helps you out a little.

Yes. This is what we do too. We had been getting our mail forwarded to us while away in Florida and now that will continue to happen but for things that require ad address like a drivers license, or vehicle registration. Those things seem to need a real address. Not a post office box.. I guess that is what I am thinking about..

Well I don't know. My canadian medical services is centered around us using Canadian medical services but for emergency reasons we can use an American service. We have insurance for that. Never thought of using the american service as we did at home. hmmmmm..
