I vote for King Creek campground next to Tropic reservoir. We spent six days in July of this year and loved it. Close to Ruby's Inn and miles of ATV trails. Bring your fishing poles if you like to fish.

You could try Coral Pink Sand Dunes. Great place with red sand and trees. Another favorite is the Fremont Indian State Park near Richfield. The camping sites are all shaded, not too crowded (get reservations) and the Paiute Trail system is easily accessible without ever crossing pavement. Either place is outstanding.

Just got back from Circleville on the Piaute/Fremont trails. 80's daytime 30's night. Recommend Marysvale over Circleville for family trails.
Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.

Thanks everyone. Another suggestion we recieved was out on the San Rafeal Swell south of Price. Anyone been out there? Opinions?

San Rafeal Swell is a little short on trees. This is a joke, you need to have been there to get it. There are trees everywhere but they are more the short scrub oak or ceader type. There are many places to camp and ride. It is a well used area. Much of it has been closed as WSA in the last few years. The BLM campground on the San Rafeal River is the only campground I know of but there are boondocking camp spots everywhere. To me this is only a place to ride the dirt roads, not much else to do.

Check the temps though...it might be getting cold! Take a side trip to the Grand Canyon.
If you've never been there....it's not really a lake, don't bring your fishing poles. But, it is BEAUTIFUL! Gotta get the home-made cookies (parfait or the cloud) at Jacob's Lake Inn.

Looks like the weather may make for a wet (COLD) weekend!  We were planning to go to Moab too.

If I had my choice, I'd go to Coral Pink. Pretty sure its a larger area, but I'm not 100% sure about that. The campground is very ATV friendly, though no power. Plus a combination of Dunes and some trails makes it more to my liking. Here are some of our Coral Pink Dunes Photos
