"We are looking for information about Cass A RV's?"
---
You should start a *new* thread asking your question, preferably in the Class A forum; this thread deals with what/how much to tow with the OP's vehicle, and has nothing to do with class A rigs. And, you might want to read through the posts in the Class A forum before posting; your 'question' has been asked and answered many, many times before.

You should be able to handle a lite trailer in the 4000-4500lb range. We pulled a 19' Trail Cruiser with a V6 for two seasons even over the Rockies. My son has an Envoy he pulls his big boat with out any problem. I pull our 23" Trail Lite with it on ocassion and although I would not go any bigger than that it does fine. In your part of the country you don't have a lot of steep grades. Just make sure you have a good hitch set up to counter the short wheel base and a good brake control and don't go too heavy you should be able to find a TT that will suit your needs. Good Luck!

I read my own post objectively; although I didn't intend it that way, the words *did* sound 'snotty' and rather mean-spirited. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

To be perfectly honest, you will NEVER be happy, no matter what you get other than a tent , with that v-6. It will most likely RUIN your rving experiences. Half or more of the enjoyment is getting there and back, and you sure wont like it. Knowing Iowa, I wouldnt even try rving in a v6.

Pulling with a V6 I suggest a low profile Trailmanor, Hi-lo, or Pop up trailer.
The weight will slow you just in the hills, the frontal area will burden a V6 all the time.

Try renting a Class C to see if that is better.

Good luck.

I have to almost agree, buy a used MH and tow the envoy, you'll be much happier.

You really shouldn't say things you know nothing about. We towed popups for 20 years with no more than a V6. Were very happy. We camped on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Ever been there. There is no easy way to get there from here. Every route there is steep an curvy. Our 2.8 V6 Ranger did a wonderful job getting it there. Pluss. It did it for 14 years. And even though the Jeep was a I6. It also did great getting us there.

As for going to the beach. Well, towing was wonderfull down there as well. I remember those 15 MPG trips fondly.

A V6 would be a great engine for any low walled RV, Be It a Trail Manner, Hi Low, or popup. Would work well for a light Hy Brid as well, as the poor little V6 towed the high school marching band equipment trailer for 4 years as well.
