Bill Heard Chevrolet dealerships did not close because of the

The BBB has a ton of complaints on them.

This is 100% correct. The only problem I have with the closing of Bill Heard Chevrolet in Sugar Land and Landmark Chevrolet in north Houston is that it should have happened 10 years ago.

How do you stay with your vehicle if they get it torn apart and it has to stay overnight because of the amount of work, or parts availability?

You stay in it, in the shop or in their yard. I've had Dobermans running around it at night when it was in the yard, and been in bays that had work going on right next door all night. Not fun with impact guns and shouting and moving rigs, but I knew who and what was going on in my rig.

These other folks' options right now are even less pleasant. I NEVER saw a lawyer in a hurry.

Just wait until the next disaster-- either natural or man-made. Then you'll see these bottom-feeders scurrying out from whatever rock they hide under to cash in. Remember that Metro train crash in LA recently? The one where the engineer ran through a series of red lights because he was texting teen-age boys? How long do you think it was before that area was saturated with lawyers?

It was common for them to use other people's credit scores to finance their customers.

Boy that sounds familiar. I'm surprised we're not being coerced into bailing them out. If we don't, our trucks will fail, Walmarts will close and coffee prices will triple.

That's too bad but they brought it on themselves. I suspect more in our area to follow. People generally don't trust dealerships and for good reasons. One of our local RV dealerships closed recently. They talked to us like we were complete idiots when we stopped by for a look see. Obviously, others felt the same. The market will correct itself if we let it.

I heard on another forum that a guy took a truck for a test drive from them and had no one to give it back to.
