There are several RV "rating" consumer groups available with great information for shoppers, ie:

rv.org/
www.jrconsumer.com/motorhomes.asp

A "Google" search will show them.

WELCOME...!! And enjoy the journey....

After you decide on how big of 5th wheel, and size of truck. Look at the floor plans. Sit on the sofa, sit at the table, stand beside the counter and see if you can see yourself cooking. Check the bedroom. Sit on the bed, see if it is comfortable. Also check out the bathroom. Is it comfortable in the shower when you step inside. Check to see if the bathroom stool is right height and enough room.
Check the tire brands. Check to see if anyone has had problems with the brand of tires. If so and you like the trailer, maybe the dealer will put better tires on for you.

Also you will get great advice right here, about just about anything connected to RVing.

We purchased our first 5er about 5 years ago. We were fortunate in having a close relative who'd already had a few 5th wheels. On our camping trips together we asked a lot of questions and "picked their brains" about 5th wheels. When we were ready to make our own purchase we were pretty well prepared for the search. A couple of the more memorable points made were to open and close every door and drawer in the trailer and listen to how it sounded and felt; then to just sit back in it for awhile and evaluate all the features to determine if there was anything we really didn't like. As other posts have said, there is a lot of information to be garnered from this forum. We found going to RV shows was a big help as well. Good luck with your search.
