You guys are too funny. I hope Lucy's little problem won't turn into a "media circus" after the America's Most Wanted appearance!!! I'm liking the thinking here, Frank. Maybe there is some government grant money to help Lucy overcome her obsession. Sounds like others have animals with some issues like Lucy. What about a TV show, sort of like Dogs with Jobs. Only this one would be about Klepto Dogs????
Her problem is bigger than I first thought. Since I discovered what a thief Lucy really is, I started checking around the house. Turns out she has several "stashes": under the bed--grandma's knee highs, two medallions/crosses grams uses for her nightly prayers, a bill still in the envelope (I wondered why I got a call about paying that one). In another stash behind the sofa I found: Richard's cell phone holder (thought he lost it at work), a small calculator, socks, and my heating pad!!!!!!! She had to work hard to get that heating pad where it was..... By the way, I do have another Papillon, Lizzy who is 7 months old and very impressionable. Oh dear...

Ever follow the comic strip Marmaduke? That dog is constantly swiping stuff from the neighborhood and bringing it home to put in his dog house. NEVER buy Lucy a doghouse!

She is just bring you stuff she thinks you may like  My young cat will go through any ladies purse left on the floor and take out "toys". She had a ball with my grand daughters baby carry bag. all sorts of neat toys in it!! She emptied it in less than 10 minutes.. Had a ball and we all had a good laugh.

We had a Border Collie that would steal DH tools when he was outside working on vehicles. Luckily he would catch her before she got very far with them. This too was something that she didn't start until she was older.
