Might be my friend. Having big family and being real estate agent, he bought both sides of duplex and punched a doorway in the center divider. Don't think he took any permit for it, avoiding lot of legal hassle.

I heard the owner did get a permit to do this. Unfortunately they still have to pay two association fees. Not sure how the real estate taxes would be affected.

Sounds like assessor categorized it as a single house on two parcels. That's why the value was transfered from one parcel to the other.
So the tax bills show one tax for property with a house and second for vacant lot.

On Friday going North on I95 about St Augustine was a 40'MH pulling a 30'TT that looked like it might be a bunkhouse model because of the rear windows. Then at this weekends campground the 45' PREVOST parked next to us had 6 kids, mom, dad, and grandma.... They could have used a English stacker bus.
