I am always thinking of eating, just what to make for one person is the problem. But, anyway, I was watching some cooking show today and had this idea. Have no idea if it would even work, what say all you cooks out there?

Say you want some potato pancake type things,, so you mix up your left over cooked real potatoes , add some seasoning and maybe an egg? trying to make a batter type of stuff.. now,, heat up your waffle iron and cook them on it.. What say you all? Who is going to try it and report back since I no longer have a waffle iron.

the recipe sounds good, BUT,, could you cook it on a waffle Iron like I first ask about? I got recipes for the potatoes,, was asking about waffle iron cooking? or does no one know what a waffle Iron is any more?

Why would you want to carry a specialized, heavy, piece of cooking equipment, that is hard to clean?

I did a google search and found this recipe that sounds kinda like the same principal as you described, so I'd say yes, it must be possible to do.

Dutchess, wow what a recipe. I'm a huge fan of waffles and Eggs Benedict, what a great combination! Thanks for sharing the link. We'll see you and Bil this weekend at Cedar Hill.
