What is an estimated cost to hire someone to replace the old carpet with laminate flooring. We do not want to do this job ourselves.
MH is 39 foot Fleetwood with 3 slides.

Around here it is about $1.50 p sq ft to lay it plus whatever they charge to remove old carpet/etc.

Take your RV to a flooring/carpet dealer or have them come to you and get an estimate. I went to a showroom and told the sales person I wanted to replace the carpet in my RV with laminate. The sales person gave me a price based on the cost of the flooring plus a price per square foot for installation.

Seems simple. Apparently it is more labor intensive and time consuming to lay flooring in the confined space of an RV due to multiple cuts and curves and the job will probably be quoted based on the estimated installation time.

You need to make sure whoever does it knows how to deal with your slides. It can be tricky to transition the slide edge and it can be tricky to make sure the slide still works. I replaced all the carpet in the main area in my 2 slide fiver this summer with Pergo. I did not do the actual slides because they really don't get that much wear and you need that carpet flap to hide the edge of the slide and the stuff under it. I seriously doubt you could get anyone to do it for $1.50 a foot in an RV. Its a lot of work, trust me.

We could not find anyone willing to do the job in Grand Junction CO where we were visiting at the time so we did it ourselves.

I bought several tools such as an air brad nailer, air staple gun, hot air gun and saber saw (most of which I have in storage in NH, but I did the job in CO).

The total cost was about $1200 as I recall. Took us about 10 days working maybe four hours a day.
I had access to a table saw and good chop saw and used them both a lot. Also found a RotoZip tool to be indispensable.

I sure am glad we did it. It is much much easier to keep clean and looking good.
