Hope someone can help me out.
I'm trying to use Microsoft Sync Toy 2.0 to synchronize the "My Documents" folders between my desktop and my laptop machine.
I need to specify the path to each of the folders, but how do I find the laptop's path to My Documents when I'm running Sync-Toy on the desktop?
Hope that makes some sense.

'My Documents' is a system variable that actually points to 'C:\Documents & Settings\username\My Documents' - the username refers to the name of the user logged on the computer.
I haven't used Sync Toy, so I can't really provide any detailed setup information, but you could always look here -> SyncToy Forum

you need to map a network drive to the my documents on the other computer you want to sync, then you just browse to it locally like it was another disk drive on the computer, then you can do your links and syncs
you can do it also through network neighborhood, but my way is a bit easier
