Going the Myrtle Beach end of month for a week. We always stay at MBTP, but the WIFI was not good where we were parked. My home page would not even load, maybe its gotten better now.

Anyone camped in these parks with great WiFi?

Myrtle Beach Travel Park
Lakewood
Ocean Lakes
Pirateland
Willow Tree

Thanks for suggestion.

Currently at Ocean Lakes - section 2000. I always show a minimum of 4 of the park's signals available and often twice that - various strengths but where we're at 2 are always strong signals. It does appear to be a pay for service WiFi. I haven't been on it as we find our own WiFi signal off our aircard to be great for us.

Pirateland has a repeater on each bath house (but only on the beachfront area), so they have pretty good coverage - I just disagree with thier pricing, but oh well. They charge like $4.95 per hour, $9.95 per day or $19.95 per week or $29.95 per month (if I recall correctly).

We were at MBTP last month and the WIFI was great. Best signal we've had anywhere.

I gave up on the WiFi at MBTP. Had to get a refund one trip cause my laptop would not recognize their system. Went up to the library in North Myrtle and registered for a temporary card. Good hookup and no problems. Folks in the library are real friendly and very nice.

All of the MB campgrounds use the same expensive service. When I stay at Travel Park I use the next door motels wi fi for free. Go to the far south side of the beach front next to Sea Watch hotel. Sit at a picnic table on a empty site along the fence in the campground. Stay towards the front (beach) and you acess the banquet room wi fi or back up where the parking structure and the hotel come together and you acess the lobby wi fi. I usually get 3 to 4 bars and speed is fairly quick. Randy

We haven't been there since April but Wifi signal has never been a problem for us there. They have antenna's on just about every bath house now. We are going back the first week in August but we now have our own wireless card.

Been to Willow Tree twice, once for a week. No problem with the WiFi. It's a great CG, too.
