I considered plywood.. And when I replace my covers may still go with it. Cardboard is not protection enough

Tires have to be replaced in six years. The manufacturers build in RV inhibitors so the tires will last that long...save your money.

Yup, They put RV inhibitors alright. They're called "maypop" inhibitors.

Had a friend who purchased 4 RV sunshades (the kind that you can roll into a circle) just like the one's used in autos. He puts them on end in the wheel well of each wheel. The tire keeps the wind from blowing it one direction, the wheel well the other

$40.00 on sale a lot less than cracked tire or blowout and a bad trip plywood works but sheets are 20 to 25 each spend the money

This many not work for all MH but I had UV protected vinyl covers made for mine, used snaps with stainless steel nuts & bolts to attach them (see picture below) cost about $80. I can just unsnap, roll up & bag them when not in use. For long term storage behind the vinyl I used ½” Styrofoam (house) sheeting in the wheel wells. This is much less expensive than plywood (about $7/sheet), does not deteriorate and adds some sun heat protection also.

Wally Mart has them and they are less expensive than at an RV dealer. They also have some other RV items and a good deal on the pink antifreeze. A few bucks for tire covers is sure cheaper than replacing tires. Good Luck

I used sunscreen material and 4 suction cups. Works great and is easy to install and take down. Tires will last longer than than 6 years if you maintain them.

Either 4 x 6 tarps from Big Lots/Ollies, or the 55 gal trash can liners/trash bags work well. If you use the tarps, it only takes a couple bungie cords to hold them in place.
