HI, I went camping this weekend and could not get my water heater to light. It has been acting up recently but has been working. I have a 1996 pace arrow vision with a Atwood 6 gal water heater. Usually I turn the switch on on my display panel and the water heater lights. The light above the switch lights until the water heater fires up and then goes off. This is how it should work. If it water heater doesn't start the light will stay on constant. Sometimes when I would turn on the switch the light would not come on so I would wait, sometimes 5 minutes sometimes 2 hours. It would always light just not when I wanted it to. Except this weekend I couldn't get it to turn on the whole trip 2 days of no hot water. The light on the switch would not come on the gas wouldn't come on the igniter wouldn't click nothing. I cleaned out the gas line on the front of the water heater and cleaned out the soot out of the burner tube. This water heater is gas only. Any help would be helpful. Thanks John

Above (kgmz) is excellent advice. Mine (1995) did the exact same thing, and a new Dinosaur board fixed it right up. I know, its hard to part with $100 for a board when you're not sure it's dead, but at it's age, it may have no more life left. If it has all the proper inputs, and dosen't do its thing, it's replacement time. Get the board at R&G electrospec. Writw back with your findings.
