I would like to plan two weeks at Christmas along the coast of Veracruz. We have stayed along the Emerald Coast but I ran across this rv park Trailer Park de Alba.
Does anyone have any info on it? I am still uncertain if we will boondock. We are looking for two weeks of pure relaxation without moving. Are there any public beaches around this area?
Thanks in advance.

Nice place we have stayed there twice. Clair is a great host. Close to Mayan Ruins, El Tajin I believe. Lots of good side trips. Miles of nice public beaches. Lots of good seafood in the area. I see on the site Yuri has passed he was a great guy, young too 40s maybe, hard worker and made you feel welcomed, he will be missed.
I'd highly recommend this park.

We drove past this park in February Chris and it looked pretty good. We had left the MH in San Miguel and were taking the Honda to Veracruz for a couple of days in a hotel, but I thought as I passed it that it might be a good place to stay. Outside of the ruins and the seafood restaurants there is not much in the area however and it is quite a drive to Veracruz. However it is right on the water! Poza Rica itself is a little confusing to drive through if you miss the first turn towards Veracruz. That is one of the two times we got lost in Mexico. ;-)

Thanks guys. We're not looking for too much in terms of activities. SO will retire in December so this is like one big exhale. Looking for pure relaxation. I do want to stop at Barra Del Tordo along the way. Lots of sunrises and book reading.
I received an email from Bob Piton (maybe the owner or manager). The rates look good and he says it isn't full in December. I figure the way I drive at least three days going down.

We stopped in there last spring. Quite a busy place, the newest and probably the current favorite of the dozen or so along that stretch of the Emerald Coast.
The mini map you show in the link is deceptive, in that it shows the word Vera Cruz just above the park. That is the State of VC, not the city.
I recommend driving another couple of hours down the coast, just past the City of VC to check out the Campamento El Rey. It is also a new park, but in a very quiet. Almost like boon-docking, except it has electric and water.
Another neat spot, again a bit further down and a bit inland, is the town of Catemaco. Nice park on the edge of town, good walking eating and shopping in a truly Mexican atmosphere.
An early Faliz navidad.

Thanks, I got out my state map of Veracruz and found the spot. I also see that there are many good roads along the coast of Veracruz that lead to the ocean and it may just be another good opportunity to do some boondocking in unexplored (for us) territory.
