Greetings Chastho, thanks for the info the tiffen sure has a loyal group of owners and for the very reason you state they value and care for their customers. What do you know about collision avoidance by eaton. I checked it out and it appears to be a very valuable system on the big trucks and some rvs. Especially the lane change feature. We are coming off a jungle lifestyle here in the mining areas and little if any activity except for our units but on the open road in the USA this could be a great option to have.
Thanks again for your good info.
Regards,
Cdr paul

bisnmich greetings, thanks for the info on Newmar I will check the units out, am not familiar with the company but that doesn't mean anything here. We just traded in our tin cans and strings for cel phones which was a tremendous leap in technology for sure. Thanks again, Paul

Of the two manufacturers listed, a late model Beaver would be my choice. I would also consider a Bluebird.

Greetings Bobr,The Beaver units are really nice and so are the tiffen units my problem is that I have not had the ability to travel to the manufacturers and must rely on the vast experience I have found on this web site it is truly amazing the talent that is out there with us. I am greatful for this thank you all. Paul

greetings to the experts I have been reading about the collision avoidance system presently offered by Beaver for the RV use. I know about navy aircraft and even some commercial aircraft but what does it do for the RV community as a safety device. Eaton seems to be the heads up provider but has anyone in the community had experience with the device? The eaton device warns of problems with lane change and objects in front of the unit even is able to determine deer collisions and sound a exterior warning to make deer avoid us. Seems that this device could help but they are talking about taking control of your speed and even automatically disabeling the cruise control and controlling the throttle amoung other things and having no regard for the driver. Anyone have an opinion? Regards Paul

Being here in SE ASIA we get CNN and Bloomberg and it's amazing that these talking heads are all appearing with blank looks on their faces as the "MARKET" begins to unwind and their education can't keep up with it.
I am looking to buy a class A motorhome new or used based upon the available units and watching the prices swing with the wind. Typical discounts are 33%,28% and 25% off the new prices and on the used prices are coming down as well but slower. This cash I have was hard earned and I really need to find reality on the Class A motorhome prices. Looks like time may be our best approach to find reality. Warren Buffett says each saint has a past and each sinner has a future he is surely right. Happy trails paul

Also consider used Newells and Foretravels. If quality is your main concern, there are some great buys out there.

I am happy with my Dolphin by National RV, but alas they are no more. I have never heard anyone speak badly about a Tiffin coach or the comapany. They have their issues like any other coach but I have never heard of Tiffin not aking careof it. The other one that someone elese mentiopned when the dust settles Tiffin will be one of the ones still standing. They are still family owned not a corporation. I have suypported busineses for many years in IT and the non-corp have abn advantage in down times. They don'nt answer to greedy stock holders looking for todays profit. They look for longterm survivability and sales.

i had an inexpensive 2008 32ft. allegro bay(FRED) by tiffin. i was very lucky to have been able to have sold it this past july... i lost 15K while having owned it for about 7 months from new.
my tiffin was poorly made, poorly designed, and inferior materials were used in its construction....
my best friend has a beaver marquis. his coach is outstanding... i suggest that you not limit your search to beavers only because holiday rambler, monaco, safari are all made by Monaco. i think the air ride on a tag axle monaco is the best you can buy for the money...

if picture does not appear click here

today, a new tag axle 42ft with one and a half baths can be purchased fully loaded for only 200K from MHSRV dot COM...
