Hello all, I am new to the site and the RV'ing life. My wife and I just purchased a used Gulf Stream bunkhouse. It did not have electric land jacks so I installed the motor to make them electric. Now I need to find a 3 way 30 amp switch to run them. I have been all over the net trying to find one. I am a mechanic and could get them to work but would like to make it work the correct way. Can anyone on here tell me where I might find a place to purchase online? Thanks and what a great site.

You need a double pole, double throw, center off switch.

You can use a lighter switch by using a constant duty solenoid in the positive cable to the motor. The solenoid takes the 30 amp draw.
The switch then activates the solenoid and only needs to be like 5 amp.

Do a web search for Texas industrial electric. They offer a heavy duty reversing relay that will take care of the problems and allow you to use a simple 5 amp toggle switch which can be had from places like Radio shack for about 5 dollars, vs the 50 dollars for a switch capable of handling the 30 amp load. While you are at it, you can add an up limit safety switch so you don't need to buy new gear sets for that motor if you forget and let it go to the upper limit.

Thanks guys. I thought about the relay deal but didn't want all the extra parts and what not. Ordered the switch and it will be a done deal. Thanks again.

Our 5th wheel also came with manual jacks. This is what I used.
