what would cause brake rotors to warp within 2 months and 3000 miles? had new front pads and rotors changed on our 05 jeep liberty because we were getting a shake in the steering wheel. after they where replaced all was good until about 3 weeks ago when i started to get the shake again.
took it back today and they said the rotors warped and they will replace them. what would cause this, cheap rotors, improperly installed or something else?

Tightening lug nuts with an impact wrench. They are supposed to be torqued to a certain pound torque.
Don't take life too seriously! It will be gone before you know it!

Bad castings, cheap rotors, overtightened lug nuts, and pads not properly seated. I do know that a friend had issues with his F350 and Napa rotors. Had them replaced real short 2X then went with another brand. Problem solved.

Rotors getting really hot from use and then hitting a deep puddle will cause instant warping (personal experience)......

I agree. Improper lug nut tightening.. Also improper installation of a towed brake system, also improper setting on the towed brake system. Also dragging brakes, And improper DRIVER methods (Riding the brakes with the left foot)
Manufacturing defect can do it too..
