Echo Charger cost $100+
Trik-L-Start cost $50

I see that the Echo has is 15 Amp vs Trik-L at 5 Amp.

Is the Echo Charger that much better of a unit?

Thanks

Can't say anything about the Trikl but my Echo Charger works fine. It came installed from the Country Coach factory. I have seen the Echo as low as $70 on sale.

don't know the purpose you have for the unit but If it is just to maintain batteries, wouldn't think you need too massive a rating on it. if to charge from run down, then more juice would be needed.

I use the Trik-L-Start and have not had any problems, before installing it my chassis batteries went dead once, since the install, never a problem.

Very easy to install btw.

The idea is to keep the chassis battery charged via the house converter when parked.... Now my towed often remains parked long enough that it won't self-start and needs help

I use a 1 amp battery minder and it is happy as a clam NOT in sauce (A clam in sauce is anything but happy) happy as a turkey on Thanksgiving FRIDAY, happy as... Well you get the idea. I'd say either one will do the job for you.

I haven't seen the echo as low as $70 and doubt that but maybe. I like it but also like the Trik-L. The difference is the amps and like mentioned, 5 amps should be plenty. As far as i can tell the do the same thing. You can get free shipping at Bestconverter on either I think so that helps. Good luck.
