We finally got a new dog after being dogless for almost 20 years. My former dog went everywhere with me and I am hoping this dog will also.
I have suddenly started to notice dog restrictions where I hadn't really payed attention before. Do you travel to State, Federal Parks, etc. with your dog? Do you just go to open National Forests and BLM and stay away from state campgrounds?

She (?) looks a lot like our Katie - Thanks for giving her a home. You will just have to check with each location. Some allow dogs, some don't. We've camped at COE, NFS and National Parks cgs and had no problems. And KY allows them at the state parks.

I only got the RV to travel with the dogs. Although my current one is a bit more portable than my boston terriers. There are some states which restrict dogs. But several others have started opening back up. We have to be responsible pet owners so they continue to let us in. That said, we spend all our time in private parks. Now with a class B, that might change a bit since we have so much more flexibility. But with a 3-1/2 pounder, no one would know she was with us anyway.
She's not a dog, she's an accessory.

Just remember this number and see if you can deal with it - 47,500.
47,500 = number of times in a month you either step over or walk around a dog in an RV....

Not enough room in the Sprinter to walk around Presley so maybe my number will be smaller  Currently he follows me around very closely turning when I turn - so I look everywhere for him and he is right behind me - reminds me of a cartoon.

We got our B just so we could travel with the pups. Just love having them with us wherever we go! Though, the double bed is getting a bit crowded with the 4 of us, especially as the young pup grows!
We camp mostly at state parks and have never had a problem. Even at a few national parks, it's been fine.
Congrats on the new dog!! He's a cutie!

Briteskys, you are too funny. We travel with a dog all the time. To state,and federal parks. Haven't had anyone tell us no. There are breed restrictions that even private campgrounds follow, but doesn't look like you have the breed. You will do just fine.

Glad to see you are no longer dogless. I can't begin to express the joy my Golden and Sheltie bring to us. We have never had a problem taking them to any park anywhere in the country (other than national parks which generally allow them in parking lots only), although I'm sure there are some. You shouldn't have any problem. If a park doesn't allow them, you are better off not staying there anyway.

Camping with dogs IS hard (harder anyway) and I wouldn't do it any other way! Feeding, keeping safe in transit, keeping in check at site, cleanup after, etc, getting in the way.
