During these times of grim economical times, the bankruptcies, the bail outs, the mortgage crisis, food prices, lay offs, the election with it's back and forth mess, etc, I'm wondering how all of you are doing during these times in regards to your RV lifestyle.

I'm hoping all of you are sticking it out and still RVing as much as possible. We are still enjoying ourselves very much with our RV and it's getting lots of use right now. Planning a trip this weekend.

Thank God for our MH and the escape it brings us. We are so fortunate and have no desire to part with ours, and thankfully, we don't have to. I want to enjoy our wonderful USA while I can.

How have you all been doing?

Rhonda,
Glad to see y'all are still enjoying your RV. Conflicting work schedules and a total knee replacement (me) have kept us out of ours for the past three months. Hope to have a long weekend real soon. Doesn't look like we'll get a full week until after the first of the year sometime.

Economic downturn is frightening, but we're taking it one day at a time right now. Haven't stuffed cash under the mattress yet!

Am surprised to see some people still talking about trading or buying new. Personally, I don't feel good enough about the economy to make any major purchases right now. Jan

We're using the heck out of ours. Just got back from our third trip this year, 17 days, and we're heading out on another one next week for about 10 days.

Economy? What economy?

Hi Rhonda it's great to see you again!! Glad to hear everything is going well with you!

We did sell our RV, but not because of the economy...with the kids all out of the house and my husband extra busy, I just didn't like setting up by myself. We sold it to my brother-in-law and his wife, they have been begging us for it for years so it went to a good home! I have been doing a lot of tent camping while looking for a Class B, and of course we spend time at our cottage.

Looking forward to seeing more of your posts!

Still using it. Gotta still make payments, pay insurance, license tags, whether its parking or in use, so we may as well use it.

When "W" sent us the check, we put it in the bank. When the economy started going south, we did to. We went to Florida and traded in our Coachouse Platinum that was getting 14 mpg and drove home a Newmar diesel pusher. We plan to help stimulate the economy a little more starting this Friday.

We have been using ours too. Two trips this summer, and we will be going down to our lot at Outdoor Resorts in Port St.Lucie this winter. Here in Charlotte NC we have had more trouble finding gas for the car than diesel for the MH.

Been fulltime for ten years and I still run a business. Times are getting tight and living the way we do, we should fare well. If I had a big mortgage and payments I would be sunk.
