The FURNACE should have a fan. Put your hands at the vents when the FURNACE is on- you should be able to feel air being blown out by the fan. Typically, a RV FURNACE will not ignite if the blower is not working.

Is it a forced air unit or a wall heater. Most old trailers have a wall heater with no fan. Boy I wish I had that type of heater in mine.

I'm pretty sure those ones don't have a fan, and yes, I too wish I had my old one in the newer trailer, no noise, steady heat and on a cold night you could stand in front of it and "warm your buns"

Mine is a 1976 and does not have a fan. We place it on the lowest setting and it still is very hot in the cab. Two weeks ago while camping, a window had to be opened because of this.

Be careful with these old gravity-type furnaces. They were removed from the market due to the higher heat (no fan to provide air-flow over the exchanger)cracking the heat exchangers which then allowed carbon monoxide into the living area.

After reading previous post, I would check it for any damage, if none i would use it. Great setup especially if you're boondocking a lot. No battery needed for it to run.
