Did you ever think you'd be excited to see gas just below $3 a gallon? I bet the refiners like attitudes like this, thinking they'll never have to sell for less than $2 again. Coffee, bread, and milk have all done the some thing, when prices get ridiculously high then the consumer is happy if it drops a little and the sellers can still make a tremendous profit.

I went to work on Sunday and gas at the cheapest stations was 3.69. I went to work yesterday and it was 3.49 here in southeastern NC. I'll be glad when the prices fall to what some of you all are experiencing. This is the only good thing we get to experience from the economic crisis. But it feels so good to see it coming down!

I bought that 50 gals. of gas earlier in the week for $2.85/gal, but yesterday it was priced at $2.62/gal. Who would have known that it would continue to drop. However, the price of gas has come down so far from its high point this summer, that the difference in cost is gong to save us approx. $500.00 in fuel cost when we drive round trip to Scottsdale, Az and back to Wyandotte. Now I'm glad we didn't panic and sell our MH when gas went over $4.00/gal.
