Picking up our new and first fifth wheel RV this Saturday. Need to find insurance. Quotes from two places have come in. 667 a year with a replacement cost plan. 555 a year at another company without a replacement cost plan. Any suggestions on other places to call for quotes?

Check Progressive.com. Most of the other rv type insurers use them anyway, just remove the middle man.

We're insured with AllState. We have a separate policy for the trailer. We pay it with our auto insurance. It covers everything, ANY damage for ANY reason when not attached to the truck. This even includes when parked at a campground and someone trips over our garden hose and tries to sue us. (really!) When attached to the truck, ANYTHING that happens to the trailer is covered under the Auto Insurance. All the contents inside the trailer are personal property and are covered under the homeowner policy on our house. This includes everything not attached to the trailer.

Separate policy for the trailer: $92.80 every 6 months with a $150 deductible.

You can often get the best deal by going to the same place you have your cars/trucks insured. Multiple vehicle discounts are usually pretty good.

Excellent service from American Modern, out of Cincinnati.

About $200/year less than your quotes and 100% replacement policy.
Also, we had a $14,000 "incident" and the rates didn’t go up
