I'll stick by my earlier prediction of $50 a bbl by end of December (whatever that translates to in retail gasoline).
....all bets are off after this global financial disaster ( my sources tell me at least 12-months of volatility); however, I'll bet that a bbl oil will be $130 US by mid 2010 once again...

This has been anounced on msnbc in the last hour:
The International Monetary Fund warned Saturday that debt-ridden banks were pushing the global financial system to the brink of meltdown and wealthy nations had so far failed to restore confidence.
Yesterdays dollar is tomorrows dime... we hope. That's a new factor.

I paid more for Premium than Diesel was at a station today, that's the first time in a couple years I've seen that. Finally Diesel is on its way down here.

What are your predictions on the Cdn $???? We're lucky and bought awhile
ago so the winter is secure. For anybody planning a Canadian trip this summer
is now a good time to convert US for Cdn?

There are two main things that effect the Can dollar, first it is considered a commodity dollar, ie. oil, uranium, fertilizer etc. Commodities are down so the dollar is down. The other big thing is investors don't like minority governments and that looks like what will happen on Tuesday along with a $40.00 dollar per ton carbon tax which will further wreak the economy, these things combined dropped our dollar by almost 10 cents this last week.

$3.09 for gas in Maine this morning but diesel is still staying up there at around $3.59. Sure beats the $5.09 we paid once on our trip west.
