Very few campgrounds have the 10 year rule when you put 'em up against the number that don't
I would like to see some one or some folks compile a list of "10 year" parks
And post it as a WIKI so that it can be modified
Then those of us who feel strongly on that can send 'em E-mails that read something like this
Hello.. I own a 2005 Motor home but I see you have an age limt of 10 years on any rig in your lot.. So though we were considering parking there, we are going to be staying over at ______ where they welcome older rigs.. Cause many of our friends have rigs that are very nice, nicer in fact than ours, but are also older. Thank you, good by, don't reply

They say it's against the rules of the National Association of Campgrounds (ARVC). I'd be contacting ARVC since they have no such rule and tell them this campground is saying they have rules about restriction on unit ages. This campground has a serious problem sighting ARVC rules since they are the biggest Association that pushes "Let's go camping", has state parks, fair grounds, and most private campgrounds as members and publishes many of the states campground guide books. Keep your rig these places with restrictions are far and few between. We have 91 Southwind and have never had anyone turn us away becasue of the age of our rig.

Thanks for all the comments. The problem with my unit is the size and wanting to leave it on a site to use on weekends. Anything over 10 years old can overnight without a problem. I found a site with campground reviews and this camp ground did have a problem with mobile homes and old buses. Most of the campgrounds with 50 AMP service that will let you leave the camper on site have a waiting list of a couple of years. I full timed in it for 4 years before going back to work. Now I just want to use it on the weekends so I'll stop working all the time. I did get an email from ARVC and they said no such rule.
I'm just looking for a place to put it so I can get it out of storage. The average person wouldn't pull this rig out for a weekend run to the mountains. I'll upload a recent picture in storage

Now that would be some real fun.
Especially if you did it right down the road from one of those snob campgrounds. Of course, you would still have to turn away really beaten up junkers, or you'd just be proving the point of the snob campground.
But if you had a 10 year plus campground full of really nice rigs, you'd probably have people with new rigs from the snob campground asking YOU to make an exception and let their NEW RV in.

I'm sorry, but your first post did not differeniate between a long term section of that SMALL COUNTRY CAMPGROUND and not in the above post that the 10 yr rule is not applicable to one night or even short term campers and is in direct conflict to the highlighted portion of your original post which said ...
"I was told by Small Country Campground in Louisa VA "No Exceptions" It was a National Association of Campgrounds Rule. I explained I had a 93 Kountry Aire 5th Wheel that has been in inside storage for just under 10 years. Wanted to get it out and put it on a seasonal site and use it for a weekend get-a-way They just said good luck, they don't kow anywhere I would be able to put it. Fiberglass roof and all. It looks great but they said no exceptions. I guess it's going up for sale."
There is an exception and that is for the overnighters, etc.
I too am now wondering if someone is just fishing (i.e. trolling) for creating a discussion where there really isn't one.
It might help your diminsihed credibility if you actually named the CG you are talking about, but I won't hold my breath.
