I just used the Flying J south Montgomery, AL and got the discount on the diesel side. Put in over 100 gal last Sunday. Nice clean bath rooms and don't eat in them because of the diet.

We did get the advisory about the discount. We do use Flying J because they are Rv friendly. We ususally use the truck lane because we are, truck and 5th wheel, nearly 54 feet long. Flying J usually has the cheapest diesel, discount or not. Every dollar that you can save is important but in these times that is harder and harder to do.Flying J will still be our first choice for fuel.

I got my fill of flying j back in my big rig days. The ones I have encountered here in CA and AZ stink! I for one do not spend a dime with them no matter how cheap their fuel is. I just don't have the patience to deal with them. Nor ranting just stating my thoughts

I received the flier awhile ago. We normally use the RV island so still get the cash price. Also have their RV card so get the $0.01 discount. They did change the amount you need to spend in their store to get more of a discount and will never gain much from that. We do stop and spend the night at FJ when traveling and have found them to be the cheapest fuel. I try to plan my trips to stop at FJs to refuel and RON and will continue to do so.

So it sounds like they still give the cash price with a credit card at the RV lane.
Is that correct?

if you choose to not use FlyingJ thats your option/opinion. I don't see any reason not to use them nor did you give a good reason not to. This lets all not use a certain product "because I don't like them......add your own reason" sounds like the class A forum and in particular the DP folks.
The Flying J near me is very clean/has some very helpful gas island jockies/very friendly and professional folks inside. Are all Flying J truck stops the same. No. Just as other major trucks stops have their good or bad facilities.

I got it, and several others have already posted that they got it, so obviously they did mail something to somebody. Is it possible you got it but threw it out thinking it was junk mail? When I got mine, it included a letter explaining the new discount program, and included an application for the Flying J Real Value Plus Master Card. If I didn't hear about the new program here first, I likely would've tossed it out as just another useless credit card application that was not worth reading.
The letter explained that the penny discount was back, and things would still work as they did at the RV lanes. But RV discounts at the truck lanes are gone unless you use their own brand Master Card. That card replaces your Real Value card, and let's you get the cash price at the truck pumps if you pay at the pump with that special Master Card.
Quote: They could have posted a notice at the pumps, but they didn't.
The few FJ's I've been to lately did have signs at the RV islands. I haven't checked out the truck lanes for signs.
Quote: Have you ever seen the lines at the RV pumps in Georgia, El Paso?
Apparently not all RV's are giving up on them. Sounds to me like you want the program to be good enough for you to want to go there, but not too good so that it's not crowded. You can't have it both ways.
My experience is that while I can find things I would change to improve FJ, they are still better than many other places I've fueled up.
