I have tried installing it so many times and searched for fixes all over the internet that I finally gave up and emailed MS support. It has been a month now and I still haven't been able to install it on my laptop (3 year old sony). It installed smoothly on our ancient dell desktop. Both computers are using the same spyware, virus protection, etc. I also have it blocked and the warnings re: my computer being at risk are driving me crazy.
If they can't fix the problem how do they expect me to?????

Well, I installed SP 3 last night and all went well. I have fired up just about everything on this computer and all programs seem to work as they did before so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones
Thanks everyone, this forum is always a great place to get up to date info on things like this!

Installed SP3 on DW's laptop and keep getting two errors on startup. First one on the banner says: AirPlusCFG.exe - Entry Point Not Found (The procedure entry point appssearchinteface could not be located in the dynamic link library wlanali.dll) and the second one says: WZCSLDR2.exe - EntryPoint Not Found (The procedure entry point apsinitialize could not be located in the dynamic link library wlanapi.dll) Both have an "OK" button and if you click all is wel. Everything seems to work. Any ideas?

Apparently this is an issue with your wireless card utility software. This software is a monitoring tool that you probably shouldn't run anyway because it just wastes memory. Try the following:
click Start
click Run
enter: msconfig
click OK
click Start Up tab
uncheck WZCSLDR2 and airplusCFG.

I installed SP3 on 4 computers at work. No problems. I installed it at home on 1 desk top and two laptops, no problems. I have tried 4 times to install on other desktop at home and it gets about 1/2 way and gives error message that it cannot complete and will remove itself. Don't know why.
