Off target as far as coffee goes but the comment about the jitters reminded me of a man I worked with at the Paper Mill. His hands got to the point where they shook all the time. He went for a check up and the Doc says hold out your hands. Well they shook uncontrollably as always. The doctors asks Sir do you drink much. He says Doc what I don't spill I drink!True story.

Well, to the O/P you made half a statement.

You said "it also changes the way your body metabolizes fats."

But you forgot to mention just what that change is

I do know coffee affects the digestion and that it is a mild (very mild) narcotic

However it has recently been shown to have some health BENEFITS

And I don't care how you brew it.. Coffee-holic beats Alcoholic every day.

(I'm a Coffee-holic, can't stand that alco stuff, tases like.. Well.. "used")

.....in many men over fifty, coffee also enlarges the prostate, a less than desirable effect.

Well, what I drink doesn't exactly fall into the "real" coffee catagory, but I can drink a can (yes, an entire 8 oz can) a day of the Suisse Mocha coffee drink. Hopefully I won't have to give up the caffeine (or the sugar)otherwise I'll be the most depressed person on earth!

I’m willing to give up most anything to stay healthy, but would have to throw in the towel if came to that…
