We are using our TT to move cross country.
Plan on using the 40 for most of our trip and want o hook up at least 2 nights (will probably take 5 days for us to get there)
can anyone recomend a dog and kid friendly campground for a 28' TT?
any sights worth seeing off the 40?
kidlets will be 4.5, almost 3, and 18 months in November when we are going
dog is a 50 lb lab shepherd mix....

You have been in California too long. Calling I-40 the 40 is a dead giveaway.
LOL
I would recommend Tom Sawyer's RV park in West Memphis for a stopover. It is right off I-40 ( the 40 ) and on the Mississippi River. Great spot to watch the barges and river traffic if you are interested in that sort of thing.
Bean Pot Campground in Crossville, TN is a nice stopover also. It is close to I-40 and they have nice sites. That time of the year the pool will be closed, but the area is nice.

First, I have to ask why I-40 instead of the southern route?
That aside, stop in Williams, AZ and take a detour to the Grand Canyon. Several nice RV parks in Williams. Or try Metor Crater Rv park just east of Flagstaff. The park is part of the Metor Crater complex. It is also a Passport America park.
I forgot to thank you for your service. Semper fi

Yes thank you for your service, spent my time at lovely Camp Latrine back in the 70's! Semper Fi and enjoy the trip. 40 can be scenic if you take your time and hit some of the sights along the way. You will be amazed at what the kids, well maybe not the 18 mo, will remember years later. I am at the other end 21, 20 USAF fireman, and 14 freshman HS. The things the older ones recall from trips when they were 2 and 3 amazing.
