lowe's, menards and home depot also carry the rv antifreeze. NEVER USE ANY TYPE OF AUTOMOTIVE ANTIFREEZE you will never flush the poison from the lines. And just a few drops are toxic.

It wouldn't be retailed at grocery stores if ethylene glycol were that horrible.

In case you've never walked down the cleaning-products aisle of a grocery store: They sell lye (Draino) and all sorts of stuff with serious poison warnings at the grocery store.

As for walmart. It will be in the RV section of walmart, not with the regular automotive antifreeze.

While this statement may be true, it is ILLEGAL to introduce ANY amount of automotive antifreeze into any storm drain or sewage system, in many areas of the United States. It is often considered hazardous waste, and MUST be properly disposed of.
Check your local laws.

Edit: For clarification.

Not true IMHO especially for PG vs. EG coolants and a lot of sewage systems can accept either from what I have read. What you implied is way too broad of a sweeping statement, but your caution to check with your local authorities is spot on.

It's one of this it all depends.

You don't need to winterize if you don't want to. But don't expect to using any of the plumbing without it leaking next year.

Take it to where you brought it, or any other RV service center, and have them winterize it. I doubt it would cost much more than fifty bucks as long as all your tanks are already empty.

Hazardous? According to who? Not RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) which regulates all hazardous waste with the exception of PCB's. On a more important note, where is it that one is suppose to dispose of this simple organic??? I suppose you capture every last CC of this stuff, affix proper shipping labels, pay for a registered hazardous waste hauler and then disposed of at a RCRA Treatment Storage and Disposal Facility?
