I've had State Farm for about 30 years on my cars & home. I & my kids have had several clams & found that they are tight with their claim settlements & our local agent doesn't seem to have much say in these matters (I guess that's why their premiums are generally lower in our area) but it hasn't been bad enough for me to change except for my MH.
I recently changed to Progressive and got better liability and collison coverage plus roadside assistance about equal to Good Sam's all for less than I was paying State Farm. State Farm covers RVs like they were autos and their roadside assistance is cheap because they don't cover what is needed for an RV.

I got out of State Farm more than 20 years ago because of some nonsense dispute.
I recently had a State Farm insured person hit me and while it was determined to be not my fault they refused to pay unless by court order. I can not believe people still insure with them.

Give us the make, year and model of your motorhome and give us what you value it as and what State Farm is offering.

Yes, on a corvette when I was younger.
It was for damage from someone backing into the nose and putting a stress mark on the fascia
They talked to my nieghbors about how the vehical was stored, they wanted to put sub par parts on it and so on,
After I made them use OEM parts and they had to repaint it because of paint choice forced down the neck of my shop
in the next year, they raised my rates stating accident even though I wasnt in the vehical
TOOO much back and forth trying to cheapout on the claim
I switched to AAA, havent had a claim since so I dont know how they would handle things

I had a claim on my MH, had a small fire and an electrical issue that blew out every electronic board including A/C Refrig and everything else electrical. State farm paid everything except the repair to the thing that caused the problem. Over $20,000.00 I can't complain. Tom
