Hello everyone. I just bought a toyhauler and will be using for the forst time this weekend. I will be going to El Mirage to spend a couiple of nights. My question is where can (if I can) fill up with water? I do not want to pull up the hill with my tanks full. Is there a place or places that will let me fill. Also in 1 mont I will be going to Dove Springs, so I have the same concern. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks.

As for Dove Springs, pull into the Red Rock Canyon State Park parking lot - they've got good water for payment of the day-use fee ($10, I think).

For what it's worth: Two nights worth of water isn't going to cost you ANYTHING like $10.00 extra to haul from home.

I'm assuming California...I know there is a Red Rock Canyon State Park in that state. I don't recognize the other two places (the only El Mirage I know of is the town in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, and it certainly doesn't require doing uphill to get to!).

Have the Mod move your thread to the Toyhauler section, you will get better / more responses. Some people don't understand that on a toyhauler you have 100+ gallons of water which adds almost another 1,000 lbs. Its not about savings in fuel with filling up with water, its about weight and braking.

I live about 8 miles from El Mirage. Prob too late. And depending on where you come from, there is a Pilot travel center 10 to 15 miles south of El Mirage on hwy 395 right next to interstate 15.
