I am new to this and am confused as to why i cannot pour the plumbing antifreeze into my fresh watertank when it is dead empty and draw it through my pump it just seems alot easier to me, i just did mine that way this past weekend i am parked on a seasonal site and never used my freshwater tank for anything else!!!

This is the way I do mine. Takes a while in the spring to get the tank cleaned out but it;s a fast way to winterize. Takes 3 gallons for my unit.

We will be doing our first winterizing...ever

I understand what y'all are saying....but what about the washer? Run the pump 'til it has antifreeze in it? and then the drain hose?

Yep. But draining the hose would be optional.

Of course it is not a closed line...so it would not be necessary....thanks

Just trying to get all our ducks (or lines) in a row..... We are a bit nervous about this...never thought we would be faced with this event
