2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD crew cab 4x4 Z71, LT trim, 6.0L gas and 4:10 rear end. So far, I am amazed as to just how much more technologically advanced a 2008 Chevy is compared to a 2006 Ford (my old truck). I love it so far. With the 4:10 gears, the Trailer Life tow guide puts max towing capacity at 12400 lbs. My TT is 7500 maxed out so this truck gives some room to upgrade in the future (doubt we will). The only thing I don't like about it is the puny 245/65/R16 tires. I need to get some bigger ones, 265 or 285's.

Enjoy that new truck and taller tires will give you a little more ground clearance for the rear differential.

Have an 07 Silverado with the same package as yours and I'm still amazed when I tow the trailer up steep inclines, it seems like it is always asking for more, have to keep my foot out of it at times.

Congrats on the new rig.

Where are the pics?

If you go to the 285s, have your dealer recalibrate the speedo so that it isn't reading incorrectly.

Keep in mind that if you go to tires with a larger diameter, you effectively change your final gear ratio, so you will basically be changing your 4.10 rear end to a 4.0 or 3.?, dependig on the size of tire that you choose.
