We will be heading south at the end of the week and was wondering what campgrounds do when you have 2 vehicles. Hubbie will be driving the truck with the Fiver and I will have the car with an enclosed trailer that holds the golf cart. Now I realize that most campsites cannot accommodate 2 vehicles so are we going to have to pay for 2 sites. Or do most places have a place where I will be able to park my car and trailer. Do you think they will just let us pull into an empty site with the second vehicle if the campground is not full.
Does anyone have any experience in travelling like this?? TIA.

Mostly it depends on the CG. There may be parking near the office, or some other out of the way place.

Most CG have a policy of 1 camping vehicle and 1 tow vehicle per site, in your case a tow vehicle and a 5er, In my case a Motor home and a Towed vehicle, included in the base price. And most charge extra for any other vehicles, in your case a car and a trailer. Some even include in your original price only 2 people and charge extra for any more than that. Some allow up to 4 people before charging extra for more. Some State and County or forest service campgrounds allow up to 8 people. So you have to check at each Camp or park that you plan on stopping at to get their policy, but you can bet you will pay extra for the car and trailer. How much who knows. Good luck.

It's all about My neighbor just took off for the weekend. Left the golfcart home. Campground told him $300 for libality insurance, and they only sell it by the season. This is the last weekend of the season here.

It all depends what the Policies are of the park where you stay.
At the park where we stay some sites have tons of parking and some in the older part have very limited parking.
We have lots of company (both from within our park and from other parks)and require lots of parking. Many in our park have golf carts. Golf carts are pretty common at winter destinations.
Good luck and I hope it works out for you.

Private parking lots have all KINDS of different rules regarding number of vehicles. Almost all public campgrounds allow two or three vehicles at no additional charge. The only way to know for sure is to call them and ask what their policy is.

After rereading your Post I am thinking you are referring to the RV Parks on the way to your Winter Destination?

We travel the same way you do and have never been charged extra. We just tell the office we need a a large space that will accommodate both vehicles. No worries...
