I remember going there in 1956 with my family. I was 12 years old. Have some old home movies of it. I'll have to go back there some day just to see how much it has changed.

We didn't camp there when I was young; we stayed in a cottage. My Grandpa bought a small lot on that lake and in 1946 and 1947, built a small cape cod style cottage. We vacationed there when I was a few weeks old and for two more decades, and camped other places until my Pop passed away in 1968. Not able to afford to maintain it, my Mom and Uncle had to sell it.
My wife an I honeymooned at Moffitt Beach in 1971, and have taken our kids there in the 1990's. The campground has changed little in the 57 years that I remember visiting or camping there. The only real change (and not to my liking) it the purchase of a large tract of private land, knocking down its historic camp and boat house, clearcutting about 5 acres of its timber, and coating it with asphalt to make an enourmous boat ramp to let really big boats onto the lake. What a way to ruin an nice peaceful natural lake!
Here is a photo of my Pop's camp and of me on its dock, circa 1955.

I recently found some photos of our U-haul rental camper from the late-1950's. I will post them soon as I can scan them.

Rich,
You may be able to see the photos but the only thing showing up are red squares for the rest of us. I suspect that the host site you are using (Snapfish.com) requires one to be a member to see the photos. Try using this site. It is free but you can only upload one picture at a time. It is the site I use a lot. If I want to post more than one picture in a post, I open a separate window for TinyPic and then just switch back and forth to get the pictures posted.
I sent you a PM also.
