There ARE teams not home-based in TX. Shall we rag on another state for awhile? How 'bout my pitiful state of CA boasting the Raiders, the Niners, and the Bolts (whom I can't stand and could resort to my own impoliteness right now cuz of that punk QB - oops, couldn't help myself! )
Curious lack of Detroit & Cincy fans checking in though...
I'm suffering through the Raiders and 49ers lack of success. The only solace I have is that my buddy is a Cleveland Browns fan. He gets on me about the local teams--but then I ask him how many Vince Lombardi trophies are in the Browns trophy case?
I've been following the 49ers long before Bill Walsh and Joe Montana showed up. I'll just suffer through the bad times until they win their 6th Super Bowl.
There are quite a few teams that haven't even been in a Super Bowl, so to have 5 trophies is quite an accomplishment.
At least that is what I keep telling myself.

Browns fans get to be happy for a day after whooping the Jersey Jints last night. With the Bungles and Ravens still flopping around, the Browns might (big might)get a shot at a wild card slot, because they have no chance against the Steelers. But my prediction is that both AFC wild card slots will come from the south - Titans take division and then Jax and Indy). Yes, I've eliminated San Diego and given the west to the Broncos.
Anybody else want to make predictions?

Quote: Outdrmike, how does a Bay area guy wind up a Steelers fan? Same as me, I guess. An east bay girl falling for the Pats.
My dad was born and raised in Pittsburgh, I just grew up routing for them. Besides who am I supposed to route for, the jokeland raiders?

My DH is the Raiders fan. I'm still a Pats fan. You can imagine the fireworks during the Snow Bowl! Tuck Rule! We don't need no stinkin' Tuck Rule...
Steelers are good. Probably my 2nd favorite.

Yeah, I doubt he develops a drug addiction just so he can play through injury so he can keep some bogus records going.

Today's update: Pacman heads to rehab, but not to worry. Favre gave Romo a pep talk (suck it up, boy!) and TONY decides he's good to play. Good thing they don't need actual coaches, trainers, owners, other medical personnel making those decision...
Go Pats!
