I look at the local paper and several others. I don't read the comments or post any.

I think we have the sorriest newspaper known to mankind. IT is terrible. Their website is even worse. At least with their paper version you can put it in a bird cage.

I'll put the Fort Worth Star Telegram up against yours for worst.. in print or online it is horrible!! But for local news it is the only one.. the Dallas paper is better but it doesn't carry any news west of Dallas.

I do check others online,, WSJ and a paper from Oregon where my daughter is. and one down on the Texas coast and Houston paper on occasion.

I've noticed a lot of those kind of comments while reading our local paper online. I sometimes look at it that way since we only subscribe to the weekend delivery = Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. They recently added the Thursday edition to the weekend package so we get an actual paper as often as we need it. The "letters to the editor" are much more civil in the print version.

I read both. I also read our hometown paper online to see if friends/family have died. It may sounds horriable in reading the obits but our family would not tell us if anyone has died. Found many of my husbands college buddies and teachers. Also to see what is changing in San Antonio after we moved to Midland in 1974.

We still subscribe to the local paper and still enjoy reading it in the mornings before work and especially on Sundays with a cup of coffee. During the day I do check the online edition plus various other online sites of papers around the country. I guess I'm sort of a news junkie.

I read the local paper online and it is my opinion that one day online newspapers will take over the written papers.

I still get the paper version but I read it on-line as well. The posted messages (and the most common people posting) seem to need a moderator.

There are some people with an axe to grind, and they post messages that have nothing to do with the topic.

I read everything online. Newsprint makes me sneeze, plus I don't like getting ink all over me and my furniture. Yes, I'm anal.
