I don't think you'll crunch the trailer. The turning radius of a MH is so much wider that I don't think that would be any more likely than it would with a pickup.

My trailer has a V nose, so it's definitely not an issue.

Yep a tight turn forward or back …. expect to have contact between the MH and trailer. And then if you add angles (MH or Trailer is higher on the road) your crunch will be bigger. Unless you have a V or extended tongue.

I have a 24’ cargo for the OHV things I cannot tow it off the back road to our mtn home.

Go make some circles in a dirt lot. Get out and read your tracks.

No thinking about it, with some trailers you WILL contact the MH on tight turns, if you aren't paying attention. You can do it in forward or reverse. Backing is especially easy to make it happen. You need a good wing man and you need to take their direction only. That way when you crunch the MH it's their fault.

Ask me how I know this ?

Still somewhat on topic. It is really easy to "bottomed out" the trailer in the least road dip. I replaced the trailer jack, with a foldup jack, after I ruined the orginal on a road dip. The disance from the reat axle to the trailer wheels is so long.

I guess I've been spoiled by my V nose trailer. That prevents any crunching.

Ive been looking at 24' trailers, and the best advice I have been given is to get one or order one with the extended A-frame. Most A's I see pulling a enclosed trailer have exhaust or corner damage.

Big difference between open trailer and enclosed, you don't have high from corners on an open trail to worry about when there is any dip in the road and turning at the same time.

You can crush the front of a trailer with the back of a MH F-53 . I made contact with the front of my V-nose trailer on a sharp turn and broke my ladder. I have to be carefull when making turns in a parking lot or at campgrounds.

I also agree with changing the jack to a fold up .I put one with a wheel on it. I too destroyed my first jack pulling out and the road had a crest in it.

That picture of the open trailer isn't my model. I have the optional electric jack. I haven't had any problems with it hitting any dips yet.
