Many States have motor vehicle restrictions on their books, "unreasonably loud or harsh sound or a whistle" or "harassment by Air Horns" provisions, that include the driver being prosecuted for discharging an air horn in a manner that is considered belligerent or deliberately intended to cause concern. Texas may be one of them...as they are the State with the most "pick-em-up-trucks" and Cowboys!
Texas Department of Public Safety-"A warning device, including a horn, may not emit an unreasonably loud or harsh
sound or a whistle."

Horns do nothing but show others the point of impact. The ones who need to hear the horns Don't and the ones that do are waiting for the blood fest to begin. here in the city the guy with the horn normaly is nuts. the best is to figure the people around are card carring fools and prepair and avoid. Keep an out at all times. Just my 2 cents, good luck!

I am wondering why and for what reason would you want that loud of a horn.

Hey is there a sound bite of that one anywhere?
I currently have a 2-note air horn in my truck, it sounds like a taco truck announcing its presence, so I've been meaning to upgrade the system.
Might go with this bugger:

From the website supplied, though their sound bite only has one note playing though it distinctly has two trumpets.

To incite the cr@pping of pants of 4-wheelers who cut off a large vehicle. Kind of another way of vocalizing to someone that they're an arse.

JoeChiOhki - I hear you. Cut off a semi and you will definitely hear an air horn blast. Or two. It may not be good road manners to sound an air horn unless necessary, but neither is it good road manners (or good sense) to cut off anyone, let along a large vehicle.
