RE: ARTIC PACKAGE

Artic Package means what it says, cold as the artic in the RV in the winter. Really though, without it the RV would be even colder and all water lines would freeze, not just a small spot that might freeze for a short time.
First trip I made in mine I had pipes freeze in bath area because of cold air blowing in while in transit. All it takes is one small hole to let the frigid air in.
First chance I had, I dropped my belly cover (very easy) and put pipe insulation on every pipe I could find. The artic package adds a little extra insulation, but does not do the job in my book. Also covered the pipes in the basement area and glued rigid insulation panels between the floor braces on the roof of the basement. SWpent a total of $30.00 on insulation supplies and about 3 hours of my time.
Temps got down to 10 degrees for a few nights with wind chills below 0. No pipes froze. Had the heat set at 40.
