It's at the end of the brake pedal rod.

RE: How to check voltage from genset

HERE is one site that will tell you how to check the voltage regulator. It's about 1/2 way down the page. There are several good "Onan generator troubleshooting" sites on the web. Just type it in your search engine if the above doesn't help locate the problem.

RE: Diesel Engine Dash Airconditioner

The A/C on a m/h is the same as that on a car. The coolant line is just longer and the condenser is in a different location.

RE: 1997 Holiday Rambler Navigator chassis

My Allison has a metal tab on the left rear side indicating it's model. I can see it without crawling all the way underneath. Can't help with the chassis. Congratulations on your m/h and that should be a good one.

RE: Generator Question

How long did you allow the engine to run before you killed it and will the genset start and run if you crank the engine again? On Edit: FYI, I just found this on the web: Some of the generators require a 12v power source to continue to run. If this Generator is wired to the house or secondary battery and it is low, that could be the problem, with the chasis engine running, the isolater may be charging somewhat. Check all of your battery connections and make sure they are all clean and tight from the Generator to the battery

RE: great idea!!

We NEVER wear our shoes in the MH, or our house for that matter. Fact is, we keep a container of Clorox wipes by the door to wipe our feet before we even go up the steps. Solves all of the "tracking in the dirt" problems. Robbie I've never even heard of that. What do you do with your shoes and socks.

RE: How to check voltage from genset

My Onan, NHM (propane), had that problem when I first bought my m/h. It was the regulator that was bad and it had to be replaced. I don't remember what it costs and it was paid for by the seller. Seems like it was $300 or more but that included labor and everything. Most gensets will not run if they are not generating power but the NHM will run fine without power. Yours might do the same.

RE: DayNight Shades

Take a long flat blade screwdriver and you will find two clips at the top of the shades that hold it in place. Yes you will have to remove them to restring.

RE: refrigerator on propane

The new one's recommend no more than 3 degrees side to side and 6 degrees front to back. That's quite a bit but I certainly would not operate it further out than that.

Furnace Filter???

Does your Suburban furnace have a filter? My Allegro Bus doesn't have one. It's the original factory install and there isn't even a place to put a filter without using a little southern ingenuity.

RE: Door Won't Open

You're going to have to replace the lock anyway. Just start drilling until it opens. It's not going to hurt anything.

RE: First timer, silly questions?

A convection oven is the same as any other oven except that it has a fan that circulates the air around which results in a little bit faster cooking and no hot spots.

Adding Air Bags

Will adding air bags to my non-air bag coach help the ride? I'm on a Freightliner chassis and it has springs and shocks. I know that airbags are available to put on the coach and am wondering if it's the same type of airbags that are on coaches that come with them. Oh, and are bags at the four corners all that is needed.

RE: Sailun truck tires from China...problem free.

My running shoes are made in the USA, New Balance. That is the only kind I will buy. And for that matter most of my shoes are not made in China. I look before I buy. Justin makes very nice boots mostly made in the USA. You SURE about that? Liz thought so...she only bought New Balance for that reason. Then she checked a pair she bought last year...made in VIETNAM. I buy New Balance also. I had to go check mine when I saw this post. Both pair are made in China.

RE: $400. ok for professional exterior detail???

You don't want it hand waxed. They need to use a buffer. It will do a much better job. I think last time I paid about $140 in Texas. I did it myself a couple of days ago. It took about 3 or 4 hours. Hire some day laborers for minimum wage ($7.25 in N.H.). Two of them for most of the day wouldn't be but about $100 but you'll have to furnish the equipment.

RE: I'm almost afraid to ask...

It sounds like you have a vacuum breaker stuck open. They are under the sink and screw onto a "vent" pipe. It has a rubber flap in it that allows air into the gray tank but should not allow odor out of it at the same location. Air is sucked into the tank when you are draining it. They are available at home stores or camping stores. If replacing/cleaning the vacuum breaker doesn't help then I'd use come chemicals of some type. Gray tanks will smell as bad or worse than the black tank. Are you hooked up to a sewer dump?
