RE: AZ to Las Vegas Directions ?

Motorhomes are not a problem on Hwy 93 north of Kingman. It is only commercial semi trucks that cannot cross Hoover Dam. You will be given a cursory inspection. And if you have enclosed trailer, it will be opened to look in.
Info and a toll free number to call: Do call to ease any fears.

And a government site:

RE: Norcold Refrigerator Problems

Move the thermister clip down the fin to the bottom or 3/4 the way down. The lower the clip, the warmer the box. Put the fridge at setting 4 to start with.

RE: Norcold - Error Code

Before shorting pin 15 to ground, be sure you have the coach level. The most likely cause of the "no co" code is an unlevel coach.
You have to take a cover off in the access. Just be sure you watch where you unplug the wires so you can get them back correctly.

RE: More info on "no pep on the hills"- UPDATE!!!!!

Kathy,
Take your paperwork into Roanoke Coach Care and show them what was previously serviced...both engine and transmission. If they find the previous Coach Care Facility work was not done right, you should not incur any additional charge at Roanoke.
When starting out tomorrow morning, manually get into first gear and proceed up to 1700 rpm and then upshift to 2nd and accelerate up to 1700 and do the same for third and fourth and then see if you can downshift form 4th to 3rd and then to 2nd then 1st. If you can, then it would seem that sixth to fifth is the problem. Experiment. Anything you can tell the service writer will get you in an out more quickly.

RE: New Norcold 1210 Refrigerator?

It will take 72 hours for the food box to get down to 36 degrees. Be sure to put the setting on 4-5. It seems that putting it on max causes the ammonia to vapor lock and not do its cooling job.

RE: Step by step - weighing coach

Kathy,
There is a location in Smyrna Delaware that weighs motorhomes all four wheels independently. They are not affiliated with Recreational Vehicle Safety Education Foundation, but I found the location of the outfit in DE on the RVSEF website...same one 2Divers sent you to. The location in DE is http://www.rvsafety.com/otherweighingloc.html
Parkview RV Center
5511 DuPont Parkway
Smyrna DE 19977

Happy travels.

RE: I Have a Question about tires.

Remember that your axle weight does not tell you if you are heavier on one side. Never assume equal distribution across the axle.
But with your axle weights, The LRG is more than enough. You can run those tires at 70 pounds and have about 800 pounds safety margin. I think you have been running the tires at too high a pressure which resulted in the harsh ride.
The following link is the latest Michelin Load Inflation guide. Just click on your wheel size of 19.5. http://www.michelintruck.com/michelintruck/tires-retreads/load-inflation-tables.jsp
But before doing anything, call Michelin Customer service and talk with them. 1-800-847-3435

RE: Motorhome Tires - update

In looking at the Michelin load inflation chart, you have the option of running the 255/70R22.5 LRH tire at 110, 115, and 120....all of these pressures will give you plenty of carry capacity for your wheel weights. All tire manufacturers build in a fudge factor to take up the slack for dummy customers running overweight rigs.
RVSEF...who weigh rigs at rallies says that of the rigs they weigh, over 60% are overweight for the tires on the rigs. Just think of all the drivers of rigs on the road that barely pay attention to their tires...much less care about the weight they are carrying on each wheel.
Michelin had a problem with this XRV tire way back in the early 2000s. They were blowing out. I have not seen any references to this tire having a problem anymore.
I don't see any problem with doing what your dealer recommended but I would call Michelin customer service also 1-800-847-3435
Be sure you are using a current load inflation guide. This link is the latest.

RE: Norcold Fridge

To make the link to Bryant RV clickable:
http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/ncold1200.pdf
And should you ever get the beeping NO CO display on the fridge,
caused by...usually the RV being parked in an unlevel situation...
The correct procedure is to turn off the fridge and move the rig to a level situation. NEVER, NEVER turn the fridge off and then back on when the NO CO is beeping due to the unlevel situation. If you do, the fridge will lock out and you will not get it to run again until you take it in for service...or you use the following instructions to reset the circuit board yourself.

RE: Camground suggestions

We stayed at Greenbelt National Park in Greenbelt, Md for 2 1/2 weeks. No hookups or swimming pool. Dump station and water on site. We were there to see Washington DC. A quick trip to downdown DC Mall area in the morning on the Baltimore-Washington Turnpike...12 miles. $16 a day/ Golden Age $8. We didn't see any need to stay at Cherry Hills RV Park and pay $47 to $57 a night when we would be there only to sleep.
