RE: Kindle

I've seen and used a kindle....I don't have one. I really liked it....but I believe the Ipad will make it obsolete. The Ipad will do for readers what the Ipod did for music.

RE: wifi radio

I bought the RCA internat radio....it died the 2nd day....sent it back. I bought the grace internet radio 2000....works great....but sent it back....the sound was terrible. I'm waiting.....prices are dropping fast....because all the iPhones and itouch and Droids will make these radios obsolete.... Gonna buy the Logitech when it gets cheap enough.

RE: Itunes Help, Please! Library File is locked!

Here is a good hint...I learned the hard way! Every now and then...about 6 times a yr....just copy your iTunes music folder to a external HD.....I just do it every 1st of the month. Then if your PC or laptop dies, or goes goofy.....you always have your music. Reinstall your Itunes...and copy the folder from your external HD...done & saved you from anxiety I can't sit down and load all CDs again...ever! It was a difficult chore. PS...it just takes one virus or malware to make me cry....but not no more!

RE: Transfer Music on iPod Touch to PC??

If can get to your old laptop....just copy your entire itunes folder to a external HD...then just hook up that external HD to your new laptop and copy the entire itunes folder to you new laptop's itunes folder.....I do it all the time.... I keep three external HDs with all my important folders on them....easy to move data. I actuall use one external HD in my Mercury Milan Hybrid..with my itunes folder on it...my Mircosoft Sync system in my car recognizes my itunes library and I can talk to my car to tell it what songs, or Artist I want to listen to....I keep my Ipod at home....if they steal my HD....no big deal my 320G HD only cost me $49. I also...have another 1T external HD for routine complete backups with my Norton Ghost. there is no way am I going to put all my 5000+ songs back into my computer again.....too may CDs...got them all in the basement...this took me many hours over several sittings, to get where I am now.

RE: Listening to IPod through vehicle's radio signal

You have two choices. I had the same ones. for the best sound.....you can buy a new radio with a input jack or iPod connector. or Buy this http://www.wholehousefmtransmitter.com/..I have two of these. They are wonderful....worth every penny. I have one in my office and I can broadcast a clear sound from my iPod to 4 FM radios in my rooms. Also, I have a boombox that plays the music in my waiting room.....My office is 1200 square feet and is fully covered with this transmitter.....people can even listen to it in my parking lot....only one negative thing, if you have a home with aluminium siding, it will only broadcast about 60ft, maybe.....I know, my home has that siding. The second one I have in my Trailblazer.....they come with a 12 volt plug and I just hook up my iPod and it broadcasts thru my radio crystal clear.....

RE: Walked in a Verizon Store....WOW...the PALM

....The Verizon rep...didn't tell the truth....... Here is what I found on Verizon's website: * Activating the Palm Mobile Hotspot application requires you to subscribe to the Verizon Wireless 3G Mobile Hotspot feature, which includes a 5 GB monthly allowance for an additional monthly charge. Any usage above the 5 GB monthly allowance will be billed at a per-MB rate. This feature is separate from your smartphone data feature. Please login to your account on verizonwireless.com select add a feature, and add the 3G Mobile Hotspot feature. When your smartphone is connected using Mobile Hotspot, all data sent or received by your smartphone (including data sent or received by any Wi-Fi devices connected to it, or by your smartphone itself) will be billed according to your 3G Mobile Hotspot feature, and not according to your smartphone data feature. So it's limited to 5 Gigs and you have pay extra for the use....I thought what he told me was too good to be true.....Worthless to me.

RE: Walked in a Verizon Store....WOW...the PALM

The new palm smartphones that Verizon sells has a built-in Wifi....so with the unlimited data for the smartphone plan for $30/month you can have unlimited internet access for your laptop or what ever! No tethering needed.....interesting! I don't understand? The palmsmartphones has a built-inWiFi, so how does that give you internet access for your laptop without tethering???? See my next post....I just found the correct info at vrizonwireless

No tethering needed.....interesting! So add the cheapest voice with the data and you pay $70/month for unlimited access.....the Mifi is $60/month with a 5Gig limit.... Better to just get the phone for the WiFi Only problem with the Palm phone is it's has a terrible dialer for the phone....the number pad is for the fingers of a three yr old.

RE: Anyone have a Grace Internet radio?

You might also look at the Squeezebox Radio I got it for Christmas and love it. I wake up to Sydney 702 radio every morning. Although DW thinks it is a pretty expensive alarm clock. Too expensive for me....just for a radio, seems that the Grace Radio is about the same for about $70-100 less.

RE: Anyone have a Grace Internet radio?

I am trying to understand. What does this radio do for you that you can't do with your iPhone? I have a $20 bluetooth stereo adapter connected to my stereo and stream internet radio via iHeart Radio (free), Pandora (free) and PBS stations (free). Pandora is terrific. Ry Cooder is one of my favorite stations. I have used Iheart with my Itouch...and Pandora and Slacker. I love Slacker.... But I want to get a free standing table top unit too.....seems to be a nice item to have at work or in the bedroom...or anywhere.... I was just wondering if anyone has used this..... Right now...I'm recording from Iheart and putting that on my Sensa Clip to listen to while I'm in surgery.....can't get WiFi or a cell signal in surgery....the walls are lead lined so X-rays don't travel thru...... I'm planning to record off the internet radio and using it with my Clip.... Although...I have Sirius and I just want a different choice of music....variety is what I want.! Also,,,it would be great to pick up WLS from Chicago....my old station when I was a kid... Gee, I even see that it can broadcast several Univerities radio stations....i would love to listen to Penn State's Lion Station now and then....That would be worth the $129...alone. BTW..I bought the GE Infinite Internet Radio....and it died the first day.....thabk goodness JR Music World took it back.....it was pretty cheaply made....so I'm going with the Grace Radio....looks like better quality, The prices have dropped a long way since Christmas.....the Grace Radio was $189.00 in December...didn't want to pay that much for a radio. Check out the Itouch/Iphone App....on Youtube.....this is great!

Anyone have a Grace Internet radio?

I just bought one from Amazon...for $129.00 Any suggestions on what stations you like? there is only 16,000 stations to chose from. There is also a cool Iphone/ Itouch app as a remote control.

RE: Anybody have/use a portable icemaker?

We have one and love it....great for outdoors.... You need to keep it on and make the ice....it takes a bit of time to make it....but as it melts it recycles back into making ice again.
