RE: Tire Valve Extensions

Not the greateset idea - they can leak.
Far better to replace the valves with Tireman valves, also available from Borg Tire. No leaks - ever. Worth every penny - checking tire pressure becomes so trivial that doing before every time you roll can become a routine, simple task that takes maybe one whole minute to do all six tires. :).
I agree 100%, this was the first mod I did on mine!

Thanks Jerry, your still the best. Got a call from Dick last night and they were disappointed you were not going to be able to make the rally. You must have made some great impression on them in Q. :)
Dick & Sandi are folks that you really enjoy meeting! I know they will fit into our group real well!

RE: what's for dinner?

When ever I have cooked beer can chicken, my chicken ends up falling over about 3/4 of the way through the cooking time. The legs draw up and the chicken won't stand up any more. I guess I need to get one of those chicken stands.
I always use a can and never had my chicken fall over. Maybe you're not using 'free range' chickens :s
just kidding

what's for dinner?

Beer Butt Chicken
http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k55/budster59/posted/BeerButtChicken.jpg height=450
Ingredients
1 cup butter
2 tablespoons garlic salt
2 tablespoons paprika salt and pepper to taste
1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer
1 (4 pound) whole chicken
Directions
1. Preheat an outdoor grill for low heat.
2. In a small skillet, melt 1/2 cup butter. Mix in 1 tablespoon garlic salt, 1 tablespoon paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Discard 1/2 the beer (I drink it), leaving the remainder in the can. Add remaining butter, garlic salt, paprika, and desired amount of salt and pepper to beer can. Place can on a disposable baking sheet. Set chicken on can, inserting can into the cavity of the chicken. Baste chicken with the melted, seasoned butter.
4. Place baking sheet with beer and chicken on the prepared grill. Cook over low heat for about 3 hours, or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 180 degrees F (80 degrees C).

RE: Newbie Questions about a 1984 Beaver cabover

My first TC was a new '76 Beaver 9 1/2' that I carried on my '74 Chevy 3/4t with stake bed tie downs. I used it for 26 years till i got my first class C. I am surprised that there is no on-board battery, mine had room for one.

RE: Electric Egg Cookers?

As for the silicone muffin pan idea, well I bought silicone egg cradles made for poaching eggs. I'm having problems with them as well.
Judy, I use these 'cups' and found out that if I put a cover on the pot while cooking the eggs get done just right (for me). As with anything you have to experiment and go with what works best for you.
