RE: levelers sound alarm some times

I had a DP before I went back to a fiver. On my DP I had the same thing happen. There were small maginetic sensor on the bottom or the jack housing that made contact with the mag part when the jack came up. One of the clamps that held it in place had gotten loose. I have seen some that were mounted with wire ties and would move out of place enough to send an alarm.Look for small wires coming down the jack housing you should finf the sensor.

RE: Slide out Problem

Larry the leak may not be a slide problem, I have seen a leak on two deffrent Montana 5ths that in a heavy rain they leaked around the area where the frig was. Water was coming in through and around the frig vent and building up from outside under the frig area and runing in, There was caulking to keep it from runing in under the frig area but not enough, we recaulked a small dam all the way across the bottom out side under the frig behind the vent cover about an inch in all the way across and never had another problem.Hope this makes senceas to where I caulked.

RE: Bike Rack Ideas for a HTT

I put a reciever hitch on the last two rv's I had for bike rack but this time I got lazy and added a frount mount reciever to my truck. Best thing I ever did. I cut the bike mount, lowered it a bit and welded it back together. The front mount went on easy no drilling just removed the tow hooks and reinstalled them with the hitch and longer bolts. With the lower bike rack I do not have to look through them and they clear the groung with plenty of space.

RE: Satellite Mount for top of TT

Don't put it on your trailer if you are talking about mounting it there. I have had a MH and now a 5th.wheel with the auto sat.on the roof. I have never parked many places that something was not in the way of the sat. and had to use the portable I still carry with me.

RE: Backing up to hitch alignment aids

I have and have had several sets of them. They work great! I have several trailers I use them all the time. I have to replace a set about once a year as they sometimes get broken in my tool box but my fault for not properly storing them.

RE: Red Top Mtn State Park GA

McKenneys COE Park is just down the road from Red Top and much nicer with all paved and larger sites. I am from that area and would not pick RTSP

RE: Need to Replace Plug on 50Amp Shore Cord

I had a Travel Supreme before the fiver I have now. That is a molded plug. I would streighten the prongs if at all possible. Unless you ran over it I can't see it being bent so bad it has to be replaced. Use a good pair of pliers like lineman with a flat jaw you should be able to sterighten it. I would hate to cut off a good molded plug.

RE: Buyer Beware- Water damaged MHs

CW here in Woodstock Ga. lost their entire inventory to the flood we had. They auctioned everything off where it sat. I saw 300,000 MH's msrp go for 70,000. Had a friend buy a cardinal 5er that list for 38,000 for 6,000.Really did not look bad inside you could only see very small signs of water damage. Who knows where they will all wind up being re-sold.

RE: Brakes self activate

I had it happen on my FW. Found a rubbed wire in the left rear hub that would short once in a while and apply the brake.

RE: Winterizing a RV washer/dryer.

I put 30# air pressure on the water system from outside and turn the washer on fill Hot/Cold until I hear air and all water is gone out of the lines. Then I put about 4 cups of Pink antifreeze in the machine and turn it to drain/ spin. I have never had a problem over all the years of doing it this way.

RE: Load Lifters?

Air bags will do the trick, I added them to my 2500 to keep it level only have to have about 30 psi in them. Easy install no holes to drill except for valve stem
